OMG, my mom had to put her cat she had for 10 years to sleep on her birthday. She loved this cat with all her heart and I must say, he stole my heart too. He was such a beautiful loving affectionate cat and to tell you the truth, I don't know how on earth she did it because I don't think I could bring myself to do it, even though I understand it is for the best and that keeping them alive only keeps them in pain, I understand that, but it still doesn't make it any easier. A friend of mine had to put his cat down too and he said he was going to lay down with the cat and say his goodbyes and wanted to know if I would come in the room in an hour and get them to drive them to the vets. As the time approached I felt so bad knowing I had to go and disturb them..I felt like the grim reaper. When I went into the room an hour later, although sad, I was relieved to find the poor kitty had already passed away in his sleep and it was a bit of a relief knowing that none of us had to endure such a heartbreaking thing as having to put a pet to sleep. My heart goes out to those who do.

I have a ball python & recently brought home some driftwood for his tank.
I've washed it down & he likes to climb on it.
Will the dried salt embedded in the wood be harmful for him?
